The Jim Holsted Memorial Athlete of the Week is Ka'Lee Daniel- Senior Cross Country
Ka'Lee is a member of FCA, Choir and Fire Marshals.  She is also a member of Real Life Church

The 3rd Annual Pink Out Party and Football game will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, September 21st.  Students WEAR PINK .

Reminder for students wanting to take the ACT test October 27th.  Registration deadline is Friday, September 28th.

All girls interested in playing soccer for the Lady Bombers Soccer Team will need to sign up.  Sign-ups will be in Ms. Rogers' VARK classroom from September 24-27 during the day.  Come by and fill out an information form.  Tryouts and work-outs will be the first 2 weeks of October.  

If you missed the HOSA meeting last week, Nurse C needs HOSA members to work the Pink Out booth at the football game Friday night from 5-7.  You don't have to work the whole time, but she needs help during that time.  Please either stop by her room (Room 605) or email her if you can help with the Pink Out booth.

HOSA dues are $15.00 and are due by October 1st.  Make checks payable to MHHS.  

You must be a paid member in order to attend meetings and be an officer.  Officer elections will be after the October 1st deadline.

Homecoming week is quickly approaching. This year's theme is "Destination Mountain Home: Home Sweet Mountain Home." The high school Student Council will be selling shirts through Monday, Sept. 24th. Attached is the order form. Forms can be dropped off in the high school front office or sent via district mail to Mrs. Hopper at the high school. 

Support the Student Council and our Bombers on Oct. 5th!

Fire marshals for 2018-19 will meet Friday, September 21 during AAP in room 504.

Mandatory WIN (What I Need) Tutoring begins Wednesday, Sept. 19 during late start.  All students with grades below 65 and assigned by the teacher will attend.  

There will be a sophomore class meeting in the commons on Thursday, September 27th during AAP to plan for Homecoming. Any sophomore interested in helping with the Homecoming Festivities is welcome to attend. 

Homecoming T Shirts will be on sale during both lunches next week, Sept. 17th-20th. Shirts are $15. Order forms will also be available in Coach Anderson and Mrs. Hopper's rooms. All shirts will be delivered to AAP classes on Thursday, Oct. 4th. 

Homecoming:  Any club or school sponsored organization who would like a float or walking group in the parade needs to email or see Coach Anderson or Mrs. Hopper for information.  

ASUMH is offering ACT Prep classes on various Saturdays throughout the coming school year:  October 13, November 17, January 26, March 30, plus June 4 and July 9. Time:  9:00 am - 2:30 pm.  Cost is $40.  Students can sign up online at or stop by the counseling offices for more information.  

Bombers, are you ready to share your special talents?  Our Voice is back!
The prelims  are October 18, November 29, January 31, and March 14 in the MHHS Library. 
The Our Voice Finale will be April 24 in Dunbar.  

Jostens will be here on Thursday, September 27th at 9:30 in Dunbar to give the junior class ring presentation during AAP.  They will then return on Wednesday, October 3rd during both lunches in the cafeteria to take orders for class rings.

The Math Department will be offering after school tutoring on the following days:

Monday          3:15 - 4:00 pm - Wegerer's room
Wednesday .  3:30 - 4:30 pm - Wham's room

ACT tutoring will occur on Wednesday mornings from 7:30 - 8:00 am - Wegerer's room

Beginning August 27, the English Department is offering free after-school tutoring from 3:30-4:30.
It will be in Mrs. Mattick's room (207, CAB Hallway) on Mondays, 
and alternate between Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Camp's room (702 ACME Hallway).
Be on the lookout around campus for flyers advertising this service.

2019 Bomber yearbooks can be purchased online now at for the lowest cost of $55 plus tax.   Yearbooks may be purchased in Mrs. Easterling’s room in CAB hallway before or after school.

FBLA Membership Drive - Earn volunteer hours, participate in competitive events, attend leadership conferences, and be part of a Student Professional Organization.  Dues are $15 (chapter t-shirt is included).  See Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Chapman in room 200.
