MHEF Promise Scholarship
This scholarship is only for students who graduate from Mountain Home High School and will attend ASUMH. The Mountain Home Promise pays the remaining tuition after all other grants and scholarships have been applied. The Promise does not include payment for fees, books, or supplies. Students are responsible for these costs.

This scholarship is based on need, academic achievement, community involvement, and future leadership potential. Must be a resident of Baxter County or have attended high school in Baxter County. Note: This is for students who are not attending ASUMH. If you are a Mtn. Home senior planning to attend ASUMH, please complete the MHEF Promise scholarship application.
Twin lakes Community Foundation Scholarships

Mountain Home Elks Lodge # 1714 Scholarship - Due by noon, April 6, 2021

Adeline Lynne Hais Dvorak and Clarence C. Dvorak Scholarships - Due April 12, 2021
For students who are graduating or have graduated from a high school in Baxter County. The Adeline L. H. Dvorak scholarship is for students of German heritage. The Clarence C. Dvorak scholarship is for students of Czech heritage. Students must possess good character and have a B average or better.
Harvey, Lippold, and Beyer Scholarship - Due April 12, 2021
These three scholarships are for graduating seniors at MHHS. The Harvey Scholarship is for education majors, preference given to future Math or Science teachers. The Lippold Scholarship is based on financial need. The Beyer Scholarship is based on financial need plus the student must be in the upper one-half of the class academically. If you apply for more than one of these scholarships, fill out a separate application for each scholarship, and mark which scholarship you are applying for on each application.
The Kelder Scholarship - Due April 12, 2021
For students who are pursuing studies in foreign languages as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university in Arkansas. The selection criteria will be based on academic ability, extra curricular achievements, and financial need. Scholarships are awarded for one year at a time and may be re-applied for each year. NAEC Trust/Operation Round Up Scholarship - Due April 13, 2021
This scholarship is available for any graduating senior whose parents or guardians are members of the NAEC. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA through the first semester of senior year. This award is based on scholastic achievement, school and community involvement, as well as financial need. Three letters of recommendation are required.
American Legion's Legacy Scholarship - Due April 15, 2021
For children of post-9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or those who have a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater. To qualify and apply you must be a high school senior and/or accepted at or attending an institution of higher education, among other requirements.
Baxter County Cattlemen's Association Scholarship- Due April 15, 2021
Applicant must be a starting college freshman, a Baxter county resident, planning on a career related to cattle industry or a continued interest in the cattle industry. Selections are based on the following: character, career plans, leadership potential, community involvement, agriculture involvement, financial need and academic achievement. Preference may be given to children or grandchildren of ACA members. If awarded the scholarship, it must be used in the school year of 2021-2022. Scholarship amount: $500.
Friends of the Baxter County Library Scholarship - Due April 15, 2021
Applicants must be a resident of Baxter County and be a senior student from a school in this county. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
William H. Thompson Educational Scholarship - Due April 15, 2021
Only for students attending a Vocational-Technical school or Trade school. Applicants will be selected based on the student's financial need. Minimum of 2 reference letters from school counselors or teachers, and most recent federal income tax return are required.
Alley-White American Legion Auxiliary Unit 52 Scholarship - Due April 16, 2021
Two $1,000 per year for up to 4 years scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who attend school in Baxter County, including those who are home-schooled. Must prove that one of the student’s parents, siblings, grandparents or great-grandparents is a military veteran or currently on active duty. Must have done community service and submit an essay: “What Veterans Mean to Me.”
North Central Board of Realtors - Due April 19, 2021
$300 scholarships will be offered to graduating seniors from the Mountain Home area, who are planning to attend an institute of higher learning of their choice the fall semester following graduation. Applicants from REALTOR® families or affiliates will be given first consideration. Award may be used for not only tuition, but also other school expenses.
Baxter County Farm Bureau Scholarship - Due April 23, 2021
$750.00 will be awarded to a high school senior who has an agriculture background or is going into an agriculture related field. Must reside in Baxter County and parent/guardian must be a member of Baxter County Farm Bureau. Letters of reference and ACT scores are part of the requirements. Word Document

Baxter County Fair Scholarship - The 2020 scholarship will not be awarded due to the cancellation of the 2020 Baxter County Fair.
VFW Voice of Democracy - Due October 29, 2020 at MH High School.
This program is open to students in grades 9-12. Applicants must record a 3-5 minute audio essay written on this year's theme: "Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?” Prizes and scholarships can be awarded at the post, district, state and national levels. Moose Youth Awareness Program - Due October 30, 2020
One 9-12th-grade student will be selected to represent Arkansas. In order to participate in this program, students will have to contact the career coaches by the deadline and attend the Local Youth Awareness Congress which will take place at the Moose Lodge on November 7th, 2020. (A-K) email@example.com and (L-Z) firstname.lastname@example.org. Students will create three KidsTalks presentations for 4 to 9 year-old children in the Mountain Home community. The topics of the KidsTalks include drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, “stranger danger”, bullying and peer pressure, and healthy habits and nutrition. The student that gets chosen to represent Arkansas, will receive $1,000. Students will also be required to attend the 2021 International Youth Awareness Congress, which will be held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from April 22 - April 26. At the conclusion of the Congress, 5 students will be chosen to receive awards ranging from $2,000-$12,000. Note: Due to COVID-19, the international program might be virtual.
Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship - Due November 15, 2020
This scholarship is only available to high school senior students. Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, leadership, and financial need. Students must have taken the ACT or SAT test by November 15th, 2020. The applicant must be a US citizen and does not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
The American Legion Dept.Oratorical Contest - Due January 8, 2021
The American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest is a constitutional speech contest. High school students under age 20 are eligible. Competition begins at the post level and advances to a state competition, awarding three scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Legion department representatives certify one winner per state to the national contest in Indianapolis, Indiana, where department winners compete against each other in two speaking rounds. The contest caps off with a final round that decides the three top finishers. $20,000- $25,000 awarded. Assigned topics.
AACD Dave Ferguson Scholarship Contest- Due February 19, 2021
The contest is open to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA who choose a conservation-related course of study (agriculture, environmental science or conservation) at an accredited Arkansas college or university. The topic for the essay is “Healthy Forests - Healthy Communities?” Scholarships will be awarded for first place - $1,000 and for second place - $500. To be eligible, applicants must live in Bull Shoals, Flippin, Midway, or Lakeview and attend Mountain Home HS, Flippin HS, or be Homeschooled. This scholarship is for college-bound students and vocational/trade training. This application may also be used by adults in the Lakeview Rotary Club area, who are returning to college or technical/trade school. Applications must be typed, neat, and complete. Applications must be received in the high school Counselors' office by the deadline.
Eagle Scout of the Year Scholarship - Due February 24, 2021
Please be aware that this application must be received by department headquarters no later than March 1st. That means that the application has to be sent from the Mountain Home office before that date. The American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Three runner-up scholarship awards will be granted in the amount of $2,500 each. Must have received the Eagle Scout Award among other requirements.
ALA Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship - Due March 1, 2021
Fifteen scholarships, in the amount of $5,000 each, will be awarded to high school senior students. Must have 50 hours of volunteer service, and must be children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of veterans who served in the US Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941. Under the unusual circumstances of this year, the SAT/ACT requirement will be waived for the 2021 scholarship applications. If the student is able to take the test at some point, the score should be included. If a student is unable to take the test, please include a notation with the application that the student was unable to take the test due to COVID-19 restrictions. ALA Spirit of Youth Scholarship for Junior Members - Due March 1, 2021
Five scholarships, in the amount of $5,000 each, will be awarded to high school senior students. Candidates must have been Junior members of the American Legion Auxiliary for the past three consecutive years (2018, 2019, and 2020), and must be a paid member for the current membership year (2021). Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Judging will be based on leadership, essay, and academic achievement. Applications must be presented to the local American Legion Auxiliary unit president. Under the unusual circumstances of this year, the SAT/ACT requirement will be waived for the 2021 scholarship applications. If the student is able to take the test at some point, the score should be included. If a student is unable to take the test, please include a notation with the application that the student was unable to take the test due to COVID-19 restrictions.
CTE Completer Scholarship - Due March 11, 2021
Scholarships are open to any MHHSCA graduating senior who has completed one or more CTE programs of study while maintaining an overall 2.0 GPA with a C or better in the completed program of study in which they are applying. A separate application must be filled out for each program of study you are applying. Requires a 200 word essay and a letter of recommendation. $500
Coudret Trust & Garner Trust Scholarships - Due March 12, 2021
The Coudret Trust Foundation offers 4 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each for students who choose to attend an Arkansas or out of state institution of higher learning. The Garner Trust Foundation offers 4 scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each for students going to an Arkansas college,university, or technical/trade school. Selections are based upon American spirit, character, leadership quality, scholastic endeavor, and basis of need. Must be children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of American Legionnaires. A brief autobiography will be required, using an essay format.
Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Assoc. Scholarship - Due March 15, 2021
This is a one-time scholarship of $1000 to a student who is pursuing or will be pursuing a degree in nursing or other medical-related fields. Financial need will be considered. It is very important that the student completes the entire application and encloses all pertinent information.
Baxter Global Scholarship Program (Baxter Healthcare)- Due March 15, 2021
This is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program to assist children of eligible Baxter employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. The scholarship award amount is $3,000. Applicants must be a high school graduating senior and be the child of a current, active employee of Baxter International Inc. The employee must have completed at least two (2) full years of full-time or regular part-time service, as determined by Baxter.
BRMC Employee Children & Grandchildren Scholarship - Due March 15, 2021
The applicant must be a high school graduating senior and be the child or grandchild of an employee at Baxter Regional Medical Center. The parent/grandparent must be an employee in good standing for at least one year and worked a minimum of 500 hours in the past year. An essay and a letter of recommendation must be submitted with the application.
MHEF Fine Arts Concentration Scholarship - Due March 18, 2021
For any MHHS graduating senior that has completed one or more Fine Arts Concentration programs of study, while maintaining an overall 2.0 GPA with a C or better in the completed program of study in which they are applying. Completed application along with a transcript, a personal essay, a letter of recommendation, and a cover sheet must be delivered to your Fine Arts teacher. This is a $500 scholarship.
Nancy Luelf Memorial Junior Auxiliary Scholarship - Due March 19, 2021
Applicants must be pursuing studies in fields which address the needs of children and youth. The applicant must be a graduating senior that lives in Baxter County, have a GPA of 3.0, have financial need, and have done community service. Must submit completed application with a letter of recommendation, a letter written by the applicant, an essay, and a photo.
AAA/Centennial Bank Scholar Program- Due March 29, 2021
Ten scholarships of $1,000 will be given to senior student-athletes who are registered with the AAA. Must have a 7-semester minimum GPA of 3.0, a minimum ACT score of 21 or at least 900 on the SAT, must meet NCAA scholarship rules, display desirable leadership traits, and must have participated in other school activities.
ArthurJ.and Blanch D. Raef Scholarship - Due March 31, 2021
This scholarship is for full-time students who are attending ASUMH. It is awarded based on academic achievements, extracurricular achievements, and financial need. Scholarships are awarded for one year at a time. Recipients who wish to reapply for the next school year may do so by filling out a new application.Reference letters are required.
Only students who have attended MHHS in MH, AR are eligible for the scholarship. This includes students who attended MHHS and later received their G.E.D. or graduated from another high school.
