Good Afternoon! I hope everyone has had a great homecoming week. It has been so enjoyable seeing the students engaged and participating in all the festivities this week. It feels good to carry on the Bomber traditions.

Last night we had the pleasure of seeing so much rich history in the stories told and reflection from the speakers at MHEF Night of Honors. This is such a wonderful event and one that I always walk away from feeling so blessed to be a part of such a superb school system.

We had a reminder this week of how quickly COVID-19 can spread at any point in time. We had to deem two classrooms of students at Hackler as close contacts after having five positive cases reported. As of 2:15 p.m. today, the total weekly number of cases in the district was 19 with 41 probable close contacts.

I want to congratulate both Wendy Spivey at Hackler and Sara Boelkens at MHHS for receiving $500 each to use in their classrooms through Arvest Bank’s We ❤️  Teachers Campaign. This is a big honor, and I am proud of these ladies and their work.

It looks like it will be a wonderful night for Bomber football and the homecoming game! I hope to see many of you there!

Go Bombers!

Jake
