The Arkansas "Bell to Bell, No Cell Act" mandates a phone-free learning environment in all public schools, starting with the 2025-2026 school year. This means students must keep personal electronic devices like cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, and laptops turned off and put away from the first bell to the last bell of the school day.

Congratulations to the 25 educators in our district who will receive merit incentive funds this year from the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education!
According to DESE’s website, the LEARNS Act (Act 237 of the 2023 Regular Session) established the Merit Teacher Incentive Fund Program, also known as Merit Pay, to recognize and reward Arkansas's outstanding educators. The program's primary goals are to retain high-performing teachers in classrooms across the state and enhance teacher recruitment and retention in priority (e.g., mentors) and critical shortage areas.
Each of the educators who has received merit pay qualified in at least one of the following areas:
• Demonstrate outstanding growth in student performance;
• Are employed in subject, geographic, and other critical shortage areas
• Serve as a mentor to aspiring teachers participating in yearlong residencies.
This is a major accomplishment, and we're so proud of our educators for committing to excellence in education -- every student, every time.

CELEBRATION!
The Junior Bomber Trap Team competed at the State Tournament in Jacksonville this past Friday. There were 64 teams from around the State. The Junior Bombers first round was against Shiloah Christian, who they outshot 104 to 82. They then defeated Corning 101 to 99 in the second round of play, but fell short in the third round to Nashville 113 to 109. The junior Bombers finished their season as one of the top 16 squads in the State. Great season, Way to go Bombers! Squad members include (left to right): Austin Still, Case Cooley, Case Hardin, Benson Hopper, and Issac Hardin.

Our high school exceptional athletes competed at state on Friday. They had a great time and performed well. We are blessed with wonderful staff and peers who went along to support our athletes.

We did it! This was a year full of learning, growing, trials, and successes. We love our Bombers, and while we're excited for summer, we'll be ready for smiling faces on August 12! Have a wonderful, safe break!

We sure are going to miss our retirees! What a wonderful group of educators and support staff!
