We are heartbroken to learn about the tragic passing of several members of a local family — one who was a precious elementary school student at MHPS. We do not have any details related to the matter, but we are holding this family close to our hearts as they navigate the unthinkable.
We have visited with all the families of this child’s classmates and will have lots of counseling support on campus tomorrow. There is no good way to navigate such a sad situation, but our counseling staff and our faculty are all committed to helping our kids.

I. Hangar SW - Aircraft: Jim Baker, Powered Parachute; Michael Smelcer (Central Flying Service, Little Rock AR) TecnamP2010 diesel powered 4-place airplane,
II. Hangar NE - General Aviation Careers: Kevin Crawford, Certified Flight Instructor; Madelyn Smith, Commercial Pilot; Dr. Steve Johnson, Drone Operations. Career type examples are: maintenance technician, airframe and engine mechanic, avionics/electronics technician, FAA operations, aircraft design, manufacture, engineering and all type of civil business flying, agricultural, government test, private charter, freight, fire fighting, law enforcement, corporate, survey/flight check, test pilot and many others.
III. Conference Room: Military aviation options: Lt. Col. Gary Smith, Civil Air Patrol: Career type examples: All types of aviation support from air traffic control, weathermen, dispatchers, aircraft mechanics, load masters, freight handlers, avionics technicians, and hundreds of various pilot types fixed and rotary wing.
IV. We can be proud to have hosted every one of them. We know that the impact of the visit today will not be shown until well into the future. But we also know that it will happen - and will be a positive factor in their life, whether or not they choose an aviation pathway.

We had more than 200 juniors at The Sheid yesterday participating in ACT Bootcamp! Juniors across the state take the ACT soon, and our Bombers are feeling confident about all they've learned. It was a great day filled with learning, door prizes and food! Good luck, class of 2025!
